Avid Interplay Central Legacy maintains feature parity with Avid Interplay Central v1.6 and restores backwards compatibility to Interplay Central Services (ICS) v1.3 and ICS v1.4 servers, which was dropped from the Avid Interplay Central v1.7.
With Interplay Central Legacy, you can access your newsroom system from anywhere using Avid Interplay Central Legacy on iPad or iPhone. Stay in sync with the newsroom while youre working in the field, review content while in editorial meetings, or use your iPad to replace printed scripts on the set.

•Use the Autosave stories setting to specify if stories are saved automatically or with user confirmation

Interplay Central Legacy on your iPad or iPhone supports iNEWS-only and Interplay-only configurations and requires connectivity to your Avid Interplay Central and iNEWS systems. Your organization may require a VPN connection to access your system remotely. If you have issues connecting Interplay Central Legacy to your system, or if you would like to add Interplay Central Legacy to your Avid environment, please contact your system administrator.
The following devices (tablets and phones) and operating systems are supported with Interplay Central Legacy:
•Generation A devices with iOS 6
•Generation B devices with iOS 6
•Generation B devices with iOS 7
Generation A includes devices that cannot install iOS 7:

•iPhone 3GS
The following ICS servers are supported with Interplay Central Legacy:

•ICS v1.6
Avid has not qualified Interplay Central Legacy with ICS v1.7 or later.
